Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd approved 25 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year 2009 at its 24th annual general meeting (AGM) in the city Wednesday, says a press release.
M Muhibur Rahman, chairman of the company, presided over the meeting. Nasir A Choudhury, managing director and CEO of the company, a large number of sponsor-directors and shareholders attended the meeting.
The company earned gross premium of Tk 1601.64 million as its assets and reserves increased to Tk.3433.07 million and Tk. 2094.79 million respectively in 2009. Investment income of the company is Tk 224.28 million and underwriting profit Tk. 112.51 million. The company's earning per share (EPS) stood at Tk. 56.99.
Mr Muhibur Rahman thanked the shareholders for their continuous support and cooperation for the growth of the company.
A good number of shareholders spoke in the meeting and highly appreciated the efforts of the board of directors and management of the company for its excellent performance and declaration of attractive dividend for shareholders.
